ONE ETHOS UNITING THE WORLD

Aren't we Naturally Selfish?

Isn't greater respect unlikely as people are naturally selfish and greedy?

We do have the capacity to strive for our own needs. However there is much evidence of our capacity for great sacrifice and loving reciprocity.

Furthermore, despite the spikes, over time it would appear that relative to the global population, we are becoming more peaceable. It is therefore important to celebrate the positive and avoid the culture of selfishness and violence that threatens human development. In behaving purely selfishly, we deny our inner spirit causing a profound dis-ease.

Respect and cooperation are natural to humanity and part of that is recognising our own needs.
