MEANINGFUL CHANGE CAN BE A SLOW PROCESS
An idea can be powerful as the 'pen is mightier than the sword'.
This is because an idea can affect people's intent - and as parents and teacher know well -
what you are is even more important than what you say or do.
But meaningful education is not a rapid process and it requires much nurturing for a culture to slowly evolve into a genuinely mature society.
That cultures change slowly is probably welcome, just as the best cures in medicine are those that effect profound change over time.
The gradual process of building bridges of understanding and cooperation through education, is vital for cultivating the fruits of lasting peace.
