RECOGNISING WHAT WE SHARE
CIVIL-ISATION believes that peace in the world will
never be possible without a sufficient understanding of the nature of universal respect.
This ethos has the potential to change all our lives for the better, if we are prepared to stand together and act as one.
There is no reason why we can't celebrate different cultures and approaches, while also recognising what we share.
A Dual Covenant that allows us both local allegiance and a broader unity, can incorporate all nations.
This is especially important in the face of so many unaccountable forces in control of the world.

"It is likely, however, that efforts to shift to a culture of peace and to prioritize prevention over crisis management will be sustained only when there is widespread awareness amongst the general publics around the world that common security cannot be obtained through the barrel of a gun; instead, we can best work towards sustainable peace through
collective efforts at meeting basic human needs and strengthening systems
for managing differences peacefully."
